That is my little poem that shares some of my feelings and thoughts. Life with Brody is challenging to say the least. However, he has given me a new outlook on life and I am a better person because of him. Having an autistic child has definitely changed me for the better.
Here is my sweet Brody. I mean look at that grin. How could that not make you smile? And those freckles…adorable!

This is our entire family on a recent trip to Disney World. We had a great time and Brody was very well behaved (until he chewed up him and his brother’s new sandals…that’s another story. 😉 )

Wonderful poem! I have worked with special needs children for 35 years and can't think of anything else I would rather do. I have several students in the autism spectrum in my classroom. They are all unique! I love them and enjoy watching them grow and learn new things. Your Brody is lucky to have you!

Beautiful family. I have been teaching over 25 years. My son has autism and it has been a roller coaster. We are fortunate he is bright and he attends our local community college for two classes a semester. I am sure he will be home with us for a long time. We are uncertain about the future too. He has my heart and devotion. I wish you all the best.
