Hey friends, I am knee deep in back to school over here in Georgia. We are on our second week of school and going strong! I snapped a few pictures after the second day of school to share with you!
This picture is of my library area and my marker board easel where I teach my mini-lessons. I bought the Chevron rug from a local carpet store that sells rugs for awesome prices! The library baskets came from Really Good Stuff and are on their fifth year!

Here is my guided reading/small group area with my chevron crate seats…love these! This is my first year using them and the extra storage is awesome.
Here is the counter beside my small group table. The four bins in the back are for guided reading supplies. The red, yellow, and blue baskets are for copy, file and grade. The red and green baskets are for Notes to the Teacher and Turn In. And I have some chevron paper covered cans for sharpened and unsharpened pencils.

This is my computer area and then a chalkboard table which I will use as a writing table (I plan to fill the baskets with writing supplies) and for math. The kids will actually work out their math problems on the top with chalk! Fun!

Here are two of favorite purchases from Etsy! Chevron covered magnet boards! LOVE! One that hangs on the wall and one that sits on my desk.
This is where we keep our book bins. I have my picture books for read alouds under the curtains (which my fiance sewed for me…well he ironed on the no-sew stuff!) Behind the curtains are where I store my read alouds.
Here are my READ letters on a white shelf that will eventually house our NOOKS (I will blog about those later!
Since I only have a table for a desk, I had to get creative with storing supplies. I just love this system! Everything has a place!

With 30 kids I had to get creative with seating arrangements to still have reading areas and my community area with such a small room. That is why I have 3 large groups of 10.

Deb, I actually cheated and bought them off of someone who made them on Etsy! But there are lots of tutorials on other blogs about how to make them. I just took the easy way out!

I think you've done a great job getting so many desks in and retaining your carpet areas! I have a large group this year too & those areas have taken a hit unfortunately. Great organization ideas!!
Did you find that the seat crates worked okay with the 5th graders? I was wondering if they would be too big for them.
They have lasted two years in a row with no problems!
