Testing season is upon us. This can honestly be one of the most stressful times in the classroom for both students and teachers for many reasons. Today, I have some motivational quotes for testing coloring pages to share with you. You can use these test prep coloring pages in a variety of ways (and we will touch on those ways in this post). Hopefully, you will be able to find a way to incorporate these free motivational quote coloring pages in your classroom to encourage and motivate your students.
Options for Using the Motivational Quotes for Testing Coloring Pages
Younger Grades
Pass out copies to the younger grades who don’t take the tests. Have them color a variety of the pages or just one or two and decorate the halls of the upper elementary students who take the test.
Morning Work
As much as I would love to cram in some extra review on testing days, it really just doesn’t work. The students are antsy and anxious for the test. The schedule of the day is off, and the students tend to be off, as well. I use coloring pages and other quiet “work” that doesn’t require the students to use their brainpower on the days of the test. These coloring pages are perfect for that. Get them in, seated, and calmly coloring while also putting motivational quotes in front of them to help ease their minds.
Use as Motivational Cards
Another option to use these motivational test prep quotes is to print the pages smaller (by printing multiple pages on your computer or by combining the pages on the copier) and make motivational cards to hand out to your students each day of the test. You could include a few mints or a peppermint with the cards, as well.
After Testing Calming Activity
The students could color these after they take the assigned test for the day and while they are waiting for other classes to finish. You know that awkward time when your students are wired up but you have to keep them quiet for a bit longer? 😉
