This week’s Math is Real Life post is brought to you by the birth of my new nephew! While at the hospital waiting for his arrival, the family made estimates on how much they thought he would weigh and how long he would be.
My guess was nine pounds and six ounces and 21.5 inches long. My guesses were the closest! Baby Benjamin was born weighing nine pounds and nine ounces and 22 inches. He is a super long baby!
In honor of Baby Benjamin’s birth, I created a few free baby printables to use in the classroom whenever a baby is on the way. This can be when the teacher is having a baby or a student is getting a new sibling. Let the kids share in the excitement with you! Click here or on the image below to download the printables.
